I’m a Senior Graphic Designer Student
who was born in Guatemala and takes all about the country in my heart; so color and creativity is part of my soul. I love all about Graphic Design, but my passion is working on Web Design, Motion Graphics & Illustration projects. I love doing things well, so I give part of my heart in every piece of work I create.
I believe that every work needs to have fun on the process to achieve happiness on the client´s needs of communication, so that´s my goal on each project. For that, I think that the projects with more complexity takes yourself to think out of the box, and there´s were fun starts. Some of my work experience is related to Guatemalan´s clients, as: Benemérito Comité Pro Ciegos y Sordos, Café Praga and actually, the Municipalidad de Guatemala.
TBenemérito Comité Pro Ciegos y Sordos is an Institution that helps people with hearing and visual loss in Guatemala for free or a really low task. They travel through the country doing medical journeys with the new purpose of teaching all the Guatemalans about the importance of prevention and caring of the eyes and ears, which is a first approach of the reduction of hearing and visual loss in our country. For the project the idea is to involve kids and teens on the road of health by motivating them on doing an annual medical check-up, so for the idea of reaching the information to more people, it was created the medical bus. This has an interactive place for the target to learn about the eyes and ears cares by valuable and particular information that also has a lot of illustrations to help the people in Guatemala that doesn’t know how to read or even people who doesn’t speak Spanish (because our country is formed by 25 Maya´s languages).
This bus has a way of learning through playing but also at the end of the tour inside the bus, it has a little medical place to attend the people of the communities. Also, an editorial material was designed for helping people who did the tour to remember what they learned inside the bus, so they can do their own medical check-ups in their houses or schools, and share this information with family and friends.
This is a recognized seafood restaurant in Guatemala who doesn’t have a web page of its services, that’s why I decided to create a web design proposal that helps the restaurant offer an easier access to their services in this global time. It’s simple, organic and has a blue palette color that represents the brand but also the maritime life. Perfect for a sophisticated brand who wants to give the business a clean, functional and different aspect in the web world.
This is a Fanzine project that looks forward to show the world about feminine and menstruation as something natural, fun, and unique. The menstruation cycle is the “frenemy” of every woman: enemy by the pain, uncomfortableness, and the annoyance of every month. But also, it is a best friend for being part of our health, youth and the girl power of procreation.
In the project it doesn’t exist text at all, being the images the most expressive and narrative possible to be the message clear and interesting. It also counts with 2 pages of pop up mechanisms to give that surprise element to the narrative.
(Is posible that only girls will understand this project)
This illustration was created by the inspiration of a Mexican Trip made in 2017, in with the season of traveling was one of the most important for the cultural celebrations of the country called the Day of the Death. In that time the city of Mexico was full of orange and yellow flowers, as many skulls painted called Catrinas. In general, this Mexican tradition was something that caught my attention since always, and being part of that celebration during my trip helped to create this character, which is a tourist in love with the foreign culture and traditions, expressing its love with the costume, food, colors and the magic of Mexico itself.
This is an illustration that could be use also for editorial illustration, specially for kids narrative.
Illustration inspired by the Latin American Festival of Viña Del Mar, Chile. The music festival has folkloric shows and some other popular Latin American artists. That’s why the colors, composition and elements of the illustration shows the latin culture through the instruments, palms, the Pascua statue and other things that helps representing the experience of the music festival.
This is a TV Spot design proposition for Cartoon Network, for announcing the next tv show. This is played between the channel commercials and its design is based on the pop art of 1950, decade where The Jetson’s cartoon was created. It has the principal characters of the series, but with the colors of the art theme.
This is a simple character animation in 2D, which has a short plot with an interesting and surprised end. Is funny, dynamic, different and modern, that’s why it doesn’t have too much complex design elements to let the viewer concentrate on the moves of the character.
PS: This is the first character animation I’ve made, which is not bad for being the first one, so be kind please!
This is a personal project to animate my own logo in 3d. The idea was to present the esential of my brand with a classic, sofisticated but also modern style, in a way that represents not only my personal identity but also my way of working.
